LAYTON – Steve Mann Tutorow, 70, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018, after a valiant battle with lung cancer.
He was born December 8, 1947 in Salt Lake City, Utah the son of Marshall LeRoy and Fay Mann Tutorow.
At age 17, he joined the U.S. Navy. While serving in the Vietnam War he received the Purple Heart, Vietnam Campaign Medal, two Bronze Stars with the Combat V, one
Silver Star and the National Defense Service Medal.
Steve married the love of his life Judy Ann Fausett on January 3, 1970 in West Valley City, Utah.
He retired from Hill AFB after 42 years of service as an Aircraft Electrician Supervisor.
Steve enjoyed golfing, bowling, camping and special hunting trips with his grandsons. He followed the Utah Utes and holds season tickets to the Utah Jazz. He enjoyed his time with the RGA and golfing with his good buddy, Gary.
Surviving are his wife Judy, children, Steven K. (Stacey), Staci (Michael), Tiffini (Troy), Jawna (Travis), 13 grandchildren, Steven, Sara, Megan, Julien, Breckin, Tanner, Matthew, Kristen, Zack, Lexie, Asher, Hollis, Brody, three sisters, Lela, Kay, Terry and brother, Troy.
Preceded in death by his parents, step-father, three brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 4, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
