Steven Craig West
Steven Craig West, 30, of Fruit Heights, Utah passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2013.
Steven was born December 24, 1982 in Dallas, Texas to Craig and Susan West.
He loved football and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.
At the age of eight he moved to Clearfield, Utah with his parents and his younger brothers, Jesse and Braxton. He attended Holt Elementary, North Davis Jr. High and graduated from Clearfield High School in 2001. Steven enjoyed playing football, soccer and basketball. He always participated in the recreational programs winning many Jr. Jazz championships. Steven attended Dixie State College for a short time. He also earned a certificate at DATC in the composites material program.
Steven was dedicated to weight lifting and body training. He also enjoyed hiking with his family and friends. Family was important to Steven and his most treasured times were with them, especially his daughter Kaylee. Steven was a devoted father, brother, son and friend. He had a heart of gold and there was not anything that he would not do for his family and friends.
Steven was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He was a very hard worker and was employed at Iggy’s Sports Grill in Layton, Utah and made many good friends.
The love of his life was his daughter Kaylee. He loved her with all of his heart. They truly are a blessing to each other. Steven had the greatest personality you could ever imagine. He was pleasant, well mannered and had a warm heart for everyone that knew him.
We will always remember his handsome smile and tender heart.
He is survived by his parents Craig and Susan West, daughter Kaylee, two brothers, Jesse (Jen), Braxton, nieces and nephews, Sidney, Michael, Ahden, Destiny, Harper-Jean, Dextyn and many extended family members.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 8, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Fruit Heights 8th Ward, 170 N. Mountain Road. Friends may visit family Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Farmington City Cemetery.
