1980-2022

Subrina Ann Westwood Clarkston, age 41, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2022 from a massive heart attack and injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Subrina made her entry into this world on April 15, 1980. She came with a beautiful smile and a glowing personality. She was her momma's baby girl. Subrina grew up in Cleveland, UT where she made many lifetime friends. She was the life of the party and everyday was a party for her. Subrina’s childhood home was the neighborhood hangout for her and her friends.

Subrina graduated from Emery County High School. She continued her education at Dixie State University, Utah State University, and Southern Utah University. She earned her Bachelor degree in Social Work and Child Welfare. Subrina also earned multiple certificates childhood trauma, sex abuse, investigations, crisis and victim advocates, and many others. Subrina was passionate about her work. She trained everybody about being trauma informed.  She worked has an investigator for Child Protective Services, an Investigative Supervisor for the State of Arizona, a Crisis and Court Advocate and Case Manager for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, and Parole Officer for the State of Utah, Salt Lake County. She was able to connect with and help many of the people she worked with in these fields as well has her co-workers.

But, her passion for being a mother was what she lived for. Her girls Kensington (Kensi) Bria Cox and Charlee (Boo) Sue Ann Clarkston were the love of her life. She loved her children with all of her heart and always was concerned for their well-being and happiness. Every holiday was met with decorations and parties and celebrations. Every progression and accomplishment were recorded in journals and pictures. She loved family and traditions and made sure to pass them off to her children.

Subrina loved taking pictures and scrapbooking. She captured every moment with her family and friends. She loved singing and listening to music of all genres. Every road trip was met with singing and loud music. Subrina would call her grandma and / or mom to sing them a song and to make them cry. Subrina loved to go to the beach and listen to the waves and the wind and put her feet in the sand. This is where she found her peace and serenity.

Everything Subrina did was by the motto, “Go Big or Go Home”. She loved with all of her heart. She stood up for what she believed in and helped everyone she could even when she was having a hard time herself. She changed many people's lives with her empathetic heart and compassion. But if you were on her naughty list you were met with fire and brimstone.
