Sue T. Barrett
NORTH SALT LAKE - Sue T. Barrett, 69, passed away peacefully the morning of Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at Life Care of Bountiful after a four month struggle attempting to recover from a stroke.
She was born on November 6, 1942 in Pataskala, Ohio to Ronald Ivan and Alpha Mae Albright Tipton.
She married William Ross Barrett on December 20, 1969 in a simple LDS Ceremony. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Washington D. C. Temple on August 26, 1977.
Sue was a child care provider for over 30 years. Retirement did not suit her so for the past five years she worked first as a fitting room clerk then finally found her niche as a greeter, aka "The Hat Lady" at the Centerville Walmart.
She enjoyed reading, crafts, and was a season ticket holder and an avid fan of the Utah Grizzlies. She had a ready smile and always had something funny to say. Sue never lost her sense of humor. She will be missed by all who have met her.
Sue is survived by her son Daniel Ross Barrett, daughters, Kristi Lynne (Stevie Gillis), Bili Sue Wagner, grandchildren, Adriana Rene Hewet and Tremayne Gillis.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband William Ross Barrett and son-in-law Wayne Wagner.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 15, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
