Susan C. Butler
LORTON, Virginia – Susan Carol Woodbury Butler, 66, died Saturday, January 31, 2009 in Alexandria, Virginia.
She was born December 17, 1942 in Ogden, a daughter of Thaddeus Clemence and Donna Mae Richards Woodbury.
In March of 1962, Susan married Larry Butler in Elko, Nevada. They were later divorced. Larry died February 15, 1995.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she held various callings including a Primary Teacher and Relief Society Secretary.
Susan worked as a computer programmer for the Internal Revenue Service.
As a child, she was involved in the March of Dimes having had polio herself. Susan loved to sew and craft projects. She also loved reading, puzzles and genealogy.
Surviving are one son and one daughter, Christopher Butler, Ogden; Jodee Butler, Lorton, VA.
Also surviving are four brothers and two sisters; Martin of Idaho; Thaddeus of Roy; Tom of Green River, WY; Kevin of Roy; Lisa of Iowa; and Kathy.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Rick and Michael.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 North Washington Blvd.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday 10 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park.
