Susan Lynn Chase

February 27, 1945 — March 6, 2025

Susan Lynn Chase, age 80, of Fruit Heights, Utah, passed away on March 6, 2025. Born on February 27, 1945, in San Francisco, California. Susan was the daughter of Jacque and Patricia Robinson.

Susan was raised in San Francisco but cherished the memories of the summers spent at their family cabin on the Russian River. She and her husband, Paul, started their life together in San Francisco, later living in Belmont, California. They eventually raised their two daughters in Napa, California, where they made many lifelong friends.

Susan and Paul were married on January 30, 1965, after meeting at a church dance. They had a loving, committed relationship, recently celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary.

Susan loved children. She collected children’s books and loved sharing those with her grandchildren and neighbors. She was a dedicated teacher to 1st and 2nd grade children for many years. After retiring, Sue and Paul moved to Fruit Heights, Utah, to be closer to some of their grandchildren.

Susan was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and had a strong testimony of our Savior Jesus Christ. She loved a bright sunny day, learning about the world, walks in nature, a pretty drive, naps in the sun and picnics with family. Susan was beloved by her family and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Leon Chase; daughters, Julie (Mark) Taylor and Linda (Al) Case; grandchildren, Nicholas (Amanda), Ryan, Adam (Eliza), Ellie, Lauren, and Jac; great-grandchildren, Orson, Josiah, and Alma; and her sister, Linda Creighton. Susan’s love, warmth and devotion to her family will be deeply missed. She is now reunited with her Mom and Dad and her little dog Duffy, whom she loved so much.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to loving neighbors and friends and to the doctors, nurses and staff at Holy Cross Layton Emergency Department for their care, efforts, and kindness.

Arrangements entrusted to Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah.
