Susan Wood Dell

GRANTSVILLE a€" Susan Wood Dell, 51, passed away Friday, January 2013 from a short battle with pancreatic cancer. She was raised in Kaysville, Utah, lived her first eight years of marriage in Pocatello, Idaho and 16 years in Hunter, Utah and recently moved to Grantsville, Utah one year ago.

She was born June 29, 1961 in Salt Lake City, Utah the daughter of William A. and Nola Hodson Wood.

Susan married Randy Mayson Dell on April 30, 1983.

She graduated from Davis High School in 1979 and attended Weber State University. Susan was a member of the LDS Church.

Susan loved her five years working with special needs children at the Hartvigson School. She had an excitement of the races at Rocky Mountain Raceway. She loved all her dogs, cats, birds and had an appreciation for all animals. She liked gardening, her chickens, outdoors, decorating cakes and bird watching.

Surviving are her husband Randy Mayson Dell, daughter Chelsie Marie Dell, son Mayson Clarence William Dell, granddaughter Ava Marie, mother Nola Wood, sister Julie Moon and brother James Conway Wood.

Preceded in death by her father, William A. Wood and brother, William A. "Bill" Wood III.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 31, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main. Friends may visit family on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.

A gathering will be held for friends and family at the Dell''s home in Grantsville on Friday, February 1, 2013 at 12 noon, 777 Cherry Ridge Ct., Grantsville, Utah.

In lieu of flowers family suggest donations be made to the Utah Cancer Institute.
