Susan Anthony Hoskins
August 31, 1942 – March 8, 2021
Susan A. Hoskins passed away on March 8, 2021 in the Legacy House of Bountiful Assisted Living at the age of 78 from a heart attack. She was born in Ogden, Utah to Clinton (Buck) Anthony and Maxine Campbell Anthony. She grew up in the Ogden area and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from Weber State University in education.
She taught grade school for several years. She then found her true love in the airline industry as a flight attendant. She loved to travel and went many places in the world and had great experiences meeting people in those places.
She met and married Gordon Hoskins in May 6, 1977. The both enjoyed traveling with the benefit of the airline industry. They enjoyed traveling to pick-up their children from their missions in Australia and South America. They made many friends in Australia and were able to travel back again in 2018 to see them again.
Susan was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and loved working with the young women and made lasting friends with the sisters she served with. They were known as the ‘breakfast club sisters’ and met every month to enjoy one another and their families.
Above all, she wanted to be a mother and a grandmother. She loved her children and grandchildren. She would do anything and everything for them and loved to have them around her. She loved to see them enjoy boating at Bear Lake.
She is survived by her eternal companion Gordon Hoskins; four children, Brian Hoskins (Jenni), Nicholas Hoskins (Jamie), Brenda Colleli, Lance David Hoskins; as well as her sister Pat Sawley (Ward); brother Rich Anthony (Debbie); eight grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
We express our appreciation to the Legacy Assisted Living House for the loving care they provided for her these last 18 months.
