Suzanne Mendez, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend passed away unexpectedly on January 31st at her home in West Haven Utah. Suzanne was bravely fighting breast cancer and was courageous and determined to win her battle. Suzanne lived her life to the fullest and made many lasting relationships over the years. She had such a warm personality that could light up any room that she walked into and will be missed by so many.
Suzanne was married to her sweetheart Michael Mendez, who brought so much love and joy into her life. Through their years of marriage, they lived in multiple parts of the county, but Mom would always make sure that she was staying up to date with her family through facetime calls. Always attending every get-together and Birthday party, even if it was done virtually. We were blessed to have her back home in Utah for the final years of her life.
Suzanne loved her family more than anything, with snowmen coming in at a close second. Suzanne loved having family dinners, going on family vacations, fishing, playing games, attending all her grandchildren’s sporting events, and dance recitals. She was never shy about being the loudest supporter in the crowd. Suzanne cherished the time she got to spend with her grandkids having sleepovers spending endless hours playing Monopoly or playing Barbies.
Suzanne was a member of the Catholic Church. She attended Roy High and was a member of the marching band playing the clarinet, making many friends and memories that were shared throughout her life. Suzanne was a Royal through and through never missing a school reunion, because her friendships made meant so much to her. Suzanne has made many lasting friendships over the years and could spend hours talking with her girlfriends when they would get together, she also looked forward to playing Bunco each month. Suzanne was very adventurous never afraid to try new things and was getting pretty good with her pickleball game. Suzanne had a love of cooking and interior decorating, all things home décor. Suzanne had a love of fashion, many would call her the “Accessory Queen,” since she always had matching earrings and necklaces for each of her outfits.
