Hooper

With love and gratitude, we celebrate the beautiful life of Suzanne Ruth Sandoval, who passed away on February 23, 2025, at the age of 72. Suzanne was born on March 14, 1952, at Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana. As the daughter of a military father, she enjoyed adventures from a young age moving from place to place before her family settled in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she graduated from Rancho High School.

It was in Las Vegas that Suzanne met her best friend and the love of her life, Oliver Sandoval. She and her husband shared 55 wonderful years of marriage, building a beautiful life together and raising their two daughters, Renee and Anna.

Suzanne had a beautiful smile and a heart that overflowed with kindness. She spent her career at the IRS, but her true passions were found in the things that brought her joy- cooking delicious meals that gathered loved ones around the table, perfecting her bowling game, traveling, crafting, and spending peaceful moments watching her hummingbirds flutter about. She never missed a sunset and believed in soaking up life’s simple moments.

Above all, Suzanne’s greatest love was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who made sure everyone was happy. Her laughter was contagious, her hugs were comforting, and her presence made the world a brighter place.

A woman of strong faith in the Catholic Church, Suzanne lived her life with grace, kindness, and a heart full of love. While we will miss her dearly, we find comfort in knowing she is watching over us. Her spirit will forever be felt in the laughter of her loved ones, the flutter of a hummingbird’s wings, and the beauty of the setting sun.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and treasured memories that will live on in the hearts of her husband, Oliver Sandoval of Hooper, daughters Renee (Steven) Barela, Anna Sandoval, six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Her grandson Skylar was her sidekick who was very special to her.

She was preceded by her father William MacGonegal and her brothers, Danny and Billy.

A viewing to honor and celebrate Suzanne’s life will be held Sunday, March 2, 2025 from 6-8pm with a rosary at 7pm at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 W. 5600 S. Roy, UT. Mass will be held Monday, March 3, 2025 at 10 am at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1100 E. 5550 S. Ogden, UT. The burial will be after mass at Clearfield Cemetery, 1050 State St. Clearfield, UT.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you feed the hummingbirds, watch a sunset, and hold your loved ones close- just as she always did. We love you mom and miss you very much.
