Swain Clay Wood

Swain Clay Wood, 74, passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2017. He was born on May 12, 1943 in Radford, Virginia, born to Clay Swain Qualls and Anna Mae Vaughn. He resided in Utah for most of his life in the Roy and Sunset areas. He served in Vietnam from 1960 to 1965 with the US Marine Corps.
He married Ethel Louise Goff in June of 1965 in Roy, UT. They later divorced. Swain married Judy Cherrie in 1971 in Ogden, Utah.
Swain worked as an Air Freight Supervisor at Hill Air Force Base until his retirement.
Swain is survived by his wife, Judy Cherrie Wood, Sunset; son, Troy Dana Morvillo; daughters, Shawna Ann Wood, and Shannon Wood Younger; six grandchildren, and sister, Linda Wood Erb. He was preceded in death by his father, Clay Swain Qualls; his stepfather, John C. Wood, his mother, Anna Mae Vaughn Qualls Wood; and his sister, Elizabeth Qualls Arave.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.
