Sylvia J. Alton

Sylvia J. Alton LAYTON – Sylvia Juanita Alton, 79, died Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at Davis Hospital and Medical Center. She was born November 5, 1927 in Belize City, Belize, where she married Jose Humberto Regalado and lived in Honduras. She was widowed. She married Charles Alton in 1972. He preceded her in death in 1998. She was raised and educated in Belize moving to Louisiana where she resided for 30 years. She lived in the Layton area for the past six years. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her favorite times in life were spending time and talking with her family and friends. She also loved cooking for everyone, playing cards and sharing memories, and she always enjoyed a good laugh. Surviving are one son, Efrain (Angela) Alton, Huntsville; three grandchildren, Garrett, Drake and Connor; two brothers and two sisters, Danny (Marcella) Gabourel, Slidell, LA; Darwin Gabourel, San Salvador; Vencie (Malcolm) Baron, U.K.; Lisa (John) Vasquez, Slidell, LA; and loving friend, Clarice Hutchinson. Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands and six siblings. A special thanks to Apple Village for their Wonderful Care.
