Sylvia Mandel Moon, 93, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2007.

She was born March 4, 1914 to Edward Ignatz and Emma Mandel in Cleveland, Ohio.

She married Jesse Leiter Moon on June 18, 1939 in Ohio.

In 1961, Sylvia and her husband and one daughter joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She lived in Ohio most of her life until her husband passed away in December 1993. She then lived with her daughter Joan Showalter for over 4 years, then coming to live in Utah in 1998.

Survived by daughter Betty (Jim) Ormsbee of Utah and Joan (Frank) Showalter of South Carolina, 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held Friday, November16, 2007 at 5 p.m. at the Clearfield Wedgewood Ward Chapel, 1245 South 1175 E. Arrangements under the direction of Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
