Takeshi “Bill” Endow
WASHINGTON TERRACE – Takeshi Endow, 81, died Monday, April 5, 2010 at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden.
He was born July 24, 1928 in Lyman, Wyoming, a son of Kumakichi and Kuma Suzuki Endow.
On December 26, 1959, Takeshi married Miyako Miyake in Ogden.
He retired from Morton Thiokol where he had been a lead operator for many years.
Takeshi loved taking the “Fun Bus” to Wendover. He collected coins and read everything from newspapers to recipes to “How to do. . .”. He was an avid armchair sports enthusiast. Takeshi was very well known for his “mall walks” and loved to meet his friends there.
Surviving are his wife of Washington Terrace; two daughters, Teddie Endow and Mona Endow, and one granddaughter, Danielle Endow.
Also surviving are one brother and two sisters, Isamu “Sam” Endow, Kazuko Morimoto and Chizu Kawaguchi.
Preceding Takeshi in death were his parents and three sisters, Josephine Miyagishima, Toshie Endow and Emiko “Emma” Kaneko.
The family expresses thanks to Dr. Vincent Hansen and staff, Dr. Hamid Mian and staff, and all the wonderful doctors, nurses, therapists and assistants at McKay-Dee Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
