Tamara Stevenson
1952-2016
Tamara Joyce Almond Stevenson, 63, passed away peacefully Sunday July 31, 2016 at her home in West Bountiful, Utah surrounded by her family.
She was born October 10, 1952 in Preston, Idaho the daughter of Oscar and Nina Loila Johnson Almond. She married Kevin Lee Stevenson November 15, 1974 in the Logan Temple.
Tammy owned a daycare and pre-school where she was a Mom to countless kids, many of whom still consider her their second Mom. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Young Womens, and Relief Society, but her favorite calling was a Primary teacher.
She loved to craft, travel the world, camp with her family and shop with her daughters but most important was spending time with family and grandchildren. She was everyone’s best friend.
Tammy is survived by her husband Kevin, son Corey (Trisha); daughters Danyiel (Billy) Davis, Heidi (Adam) Pollock, Jennie (John) Lovato, Shaylee (Shaun) Thompson and eight grandchildren. Also survived by siblings Reese, Max, Colleen (Greaves), Ray, Bob, Sam, Dale, and Brent Almond. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Howard, Donald and sister Yvonne.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Friday, August 5, 2016 at the West Bountiful 10th Ward Chapel, 1750 N. 900 W. Friends may visit family Thurs. August 4th from 6-8 pm at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. and Friday at the church from 8:30-9:30 am prior to services. Interment Preston, Idaho Cemetery.
