Tara Diane Morrill passed away peacefully at home July 10, 2018. At the age of only 62 she left this earth having touched countless lives.
Diane was born in Dodgeville, Wisconsin on October 3, 1955. She was the second of four children born to Jewell and Robert Hughes.
On August 20, 1977 she married her sweetheart Phillip Lee Morrill in the Salt Lake City Utah LDS temple.
Diane embodied the example of the Savior Jesus Christ in everything she did. She was selfless in her never ceasing service to others, a teacher in all senses of the word, and dedicated her life to the lives of everyone around her.
Diane was a woman of many talents and gifts. Among these are sewing, cooking, baking, decorating, gardening, and a love of art. Diane was a special education teacher. She loved individuals with special needs and served as a leader in the special needs mutual for 23 years. She had a special talent to make you feel loved and at ease in her presence. She loved music and had a song for every situation. You could often find her singing in her home. She was a fighter and strong woman, having survived cancer twice and a massive heart attack. She had an infectious laugh that caught on to those around her. Diane adored her grand-children and always had her “sugar-babies” around her singing and loving on them.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents Jewell and Robert Hughes, her sister Dixie Rees, her sister-in-law Jody Morrill, dear friend Taff, and her father-in-law Marion Morrill.
Diane is survived by her sweetheart and husband Phillip Lee Morrill, two daughters Lori Morrill and Laci Gleave (Jonn), son Phillip Lee Morrill II (Crystal), as well as her 7 “sugar-baby” grandchildren: Kaden, Maylee, Miles, Jaxon, Lilly, Deakon, and Knox, her brothers Mike and Robert Hughes; as well as nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
