Tara L. Nielsen
NORTH OGDEN – Tara Leigh Nielsen, 24, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 23, 2007 in Salt Lake City.
She was born February 2, 1983 in Ogden, a loving daughter of William R. Jr. and Bertha Phillips Nielsen.
Tara grew up in North Ogden and lived most recently in Salt Lake City. She was a graduate of Washington High School.
She currently worked as a customer service representative for Rocky Mountain Power Company, and previously worked at Hot Topic and the U.S. Forest Service.
Tara was involved with the Adopt a Native Elder Program. She was an artistic, outgoing and creative soul. She loved to dance, camp, spend time with her friends and pets, but most of all, she loved being with her son Damien.
Surviving are her son, Damien Reigh Nielsen-Quintana; her special friend and Damien’s father, David Deats-Quintana; her parents of North Ogden; two sisters, Jennifer, Brendan and Gavin Cook, South Ogden; Vanessa Nielsen, North Ogden; her grandparents, Ray Nielsen, South Ogden; Stella Phillips, Bluegap, AZ; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Welcoming her with loving arms were her grandmother Elva Nielsen, grandfather Alfred Phillips, her aunt Dianne Nielsen, her uncles Calvin Phillips, Leroy Phillips and her dog Mo Bear.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 North Washington Blvd.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Wednesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
