Tarina Chase, CPA, 59, passed away on November 11, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones after a six-year battle with metastatic breast cancer. Tarina was born on November 20, 1963 at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada to Dale Chase and Sheila True (Smith) Davis.
Tarina is survived by her daughter, Heather (Blake); grandson, Oaklynn; father, Dale Chase; mother, Sheila “Trudy” Davis; stepfather, Steven Davis; sister, Dawn Chase; brothers, Scott (Michele) Davis and Brett (Lacey) Davis; and stepsisters, Hollie (Jim) Davis Frick, Tammy (Andrew) Davis, and Janene Davis. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews that loved being with Tarina and she treasured the moments she had with them. She was preceded in death by her son, Chase.
Tarina’s life was all about the numbers. Her true passion was public accounting. Tarina was a Certified Public Accountant and worked in private practice for almost 40 years developing rewarding relationships and a very successful CPA firm. Tarina thoroughly enjoyed the relationships she developed with each of her clients and considered them all a part of her circle of friends and family. She greatly valued the trust they placed in her for the work and advice she provided. She would speak frequently of the joy and satisfaction she received when working with them. Tarina was also blessed with the company of her grandson Oaklynn and daughter Heather at her CPA firm. When visiting Tarina’s office, you were always greeted with a warm welcome by her daughter Heather and her fun grandson Oaklynn hanging around the office. Having them around her at work was a great joy to Tarina.
Tarina was an avid enthusiast of the outdoors, being healthy, and exercising. This dedication to health is what provided Tarina the strength to battle her cancer as long as she did. We are all proud of Tarina and the courage she applied to her cancer diagnosis. Tarina loved to pick up her “granddog” Groot and go for daily walks through her neighborhood. Tarina also enjoyed the many associations and friends she developed in her community.
Tarina was an absolute Disney World fan and many of her family members had the opportunity to enjoy watching Tarina light up on their trips together to her magical place. You would often see Tarina visiting the beautiful beaches of Florida where she enjoyed the wonderful weather and relaxation. Last but not least, you could almost always find Tarina at a Neil Diamond or Celine Dion concert. Tarina loved music and especially the opportunity to see these artists in person.
We would like to thank the many physicians and other providers that helped care for Tarina during her diagnosis. We are grateful for all they did to support her during this time.
Tarina was a beautiful person inside and out. She cared deeply for the people around her and made an impact on many lives. She will be forever missed.
