Ted B. Crandall
CLEARFIELD - Ted Bruce Crandall passed away Sunday, May 4, 2008 at his home.
Ted was born June 3 1946, to Harry Mctague (Mack) and Marjorie Wheeler Crandall in Ogden, Utah, the youngest of three witty boys. Ted graduated from Bonneville High School, served in the U.S. Army Reserve, married and had three children with Pam Udy. They later divorced. He enjoyed recent years with his sweetheart, Julie Alsop.
He retired from HAFB after 37 years of service.
Ted loved to go fishing and running with his daughter Carrie and playing golf with his son Ryan. He enjoyed watching his daughter Nesha’s swimming matches. He taught all of his kids how to bowl and how to have fun at just about anything. He always loved to be outdoors camping, hunting and golfing. He was always the one to start the water fights and be the first one to steal the buttered roll. He loved spending time with all of his grandchildren and being Grandpa. He loved the fact that he got to take the Chevelle out for spin after hours of repairs, thanks to the help of his son.
He was creative with his ability to build/ rebuild things. He built a home and a duplex, as well as helping others with their home improvement projects. He redesigned and remodeled his own home.
Ted had a passion for golf. He enjoyed the challenge of the game and the company of his many good friends and golf mates. He got two holes-in-one in the past few years; one at HAFB and one at Sun Hills. He also loved to tell a good story or a funny joke to make people laugh. He enjoyed spending time and going to new places with Julie.
Ted is survived by his mother. Marjorie Crandall Jones; three children, Nesha (Greg) Rosenlund, Carrie (Shaun) Atwell, and Ryan Crandall; four grandchildren, Chayce Rosenlund, Treyden and Kiara Atwell, and Trevan Crandall; and his love, Julie Alsop.
Preceding Ted in death were his father and two brothers, Gary and Robert, and sister-in-law Cindy Robinson Crandall (Gary).
Ted’s friendship, sense of humor and contagious laughter will be greatly missed.
