In loving memory of Ted Day, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away at his residence on July 8, 2024.
He was born on January 15, 1935, in Cove Utah to Ralph L. Day and Velva Grace Saxton.
On January 1, 1961, Ted married Mary Jane Rodabaugh in Ely, Nevada.
He led a remarkable life filled with service and dedication. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1952 1956 during the Korean Conflict; later working as a Systems Analyst at Hill Force Base. He was a proud alumnus of Brigham Young University where he earned his bachelor’s degree.
Outside of professional life, Ted found joy and relaxation in various hobbies and interests fishing, hunting, motorcycles, solving crosswords and word searches, as well as being around horses.
Among his proudest accomplishments were his memberships in the Shriner's and as a Mason. His commitment to community service and fellowship left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Ted will be deeply missed by his surviving family: his beloved wife Jane Day; sons Christopher Michael Day and Gaywin Day; daughters Debra O'Quinn, LouAnne Day, and Becki Day Tullis; as well as his nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother David Day and sister Beth (Pug) Kikuchi.
He was preceded in death by his dear family members Jack Day, Dwayne Day, and Lynn Miller.
A kind-hearted man with a strong sense of duty and an unwavering love for his family, Ted will be remembered for his warm smile, gentle spirit, and the legacy of kindness he leaves behind. May he rest in peace knowing he was cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Rest easy now, Ted Day. Your memory will forever be treasured in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have you touch their lives.
