Ted Measom Hall, a cherished father, husband, and friend, passed away on December 14, 2024, in Layton, Utah. He was born on November 5, 1935, in Lakeshore, Utah to Mark Hall and Beulah Measom Hall. On November 1, 1956, he united in marriage with Marsha Nuttall in the Salt Lake City Temple, forging a partnership that would thrive for 68 years.
Ted had a fulfilling career and was deeply committed to his community and family. He proudly served his country in the Army as a young man, and later in the Naval Reserve. A devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he possessed a strong testimony and fulfilled various callings throughout his life. Notably, he devoted many years as a Scout leader, where he earned the prestigious Silver Beaver award—an acknowledgment of his enduring dedication to youth and scouting.
Ted enjoyed a variety of hobbies that reflected his adventurous spirit. He found joy in hunting, fishing, and golfing, and often ventured into the great outdoors to explore ghost towns and enjoy four-wheeling adventures. His skills extended to woodworking as well, and he embraced every opportunity to spend quality time with his family and serve others in his community.
Ted is survived by his beloved wife, Marsha; their five children: Steven Hall, Laurie Newhouse (Michael), Jeanette Barney (Tom), Brenda Spriggs (Jim), and Tad Hall; as well as ten grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. His kind, loving, and humble presence will be greatly missed by his family and many friends who were touched by his warmth and generosity.
Ted's legacy of love, service, and commitment to his family and community will forever remain in the hearts of his family, and many friends.
