Teisa Palu Katoa Pale

September 13, 1958 ~ March 13, 2017

Teisa Palu Katoa Pale, 58, returned to Heaven peacefully on March 13, 2017.

She was born to Sosaia Pahulu and Mele Folau Pakofe Katoa on September 13, 1958 in Faleloa, Ha’apai.  In 1977 she married Lehopoame Matei Pale and together they had seven beautiful children.  She attended the Beulah College of Tonga.

Teisa loved being a homemaker and her family was everything to her.  She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She enjoyed crafting and spending time with her grandchildren.  Her big laughs could make any sad person smile.

She spent most of her life in Tokomololo, Tonga.  For the past three years, Teisa and her husband, Matei, lived with their daughter, Lusi, in West Point, Utah.

Teisa is survived by her husband;  her seven children: Movete, Tonga; Lusi (Ryan) Giles, West Point, UT; Lamasima (Suliana) Pale, Tonga; Lesieli (Venly Tatafu) Upangoa, Maple Valley,WA; Tonga Pale, Melbourne, Australia; Raffaele Pale, West Point, UT; and Louisa Pale, Wuhan, China; her grandchildren: Aaliyah, Mariah, Ryan Jr., Maulupe and James, West Point, UT; Matei Jr., Tevita, Nafe and Teisa, Tonga; Lisiate, Maple Valley, WA; her sisters: Luseane and Uila, Tonga; and her brothers: Filimone and Lui, Melbourne, Australia.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Sosaia Pahulu and Mele Folau, also known as ‘Upangoa, and her sister, Siu Fakatene

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on  Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at the West Point 18th Ward, 2865 West 800 North, West Point.  The family will meet with friends on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.
