Terence Joseph Byrne
Terence Joseph Byrne 47, beloved father, son, brother, uncle and friend passed away August 4, 2010 after a long and valiant battle with diabetes.
Born September 26, 1962 in St. Albans, New York to Laurence "LT" Byrne and Joan (Power) Byrne, he was the seventh of their eight children.
In the early 90''s, Terence left NY for Florida obtaining an Associate''s Degree from Indian River Community College. He operated a landscaping company for many years before moving his family to Utah in 1995, bringing his NY charm and humor with him, sharing it generously with everyone. Terence had a solid work ethic, laboring incredibly hard through many health problems.
He was a compassionate, fun loving man who told the best stories ever. Always there for everyone, a true and loyal friend to all who knew him. Fiercely committed to family, he found his greatest joy in the deep love shared with his sons, Jonathan and Matthew. His most heartfelt wish was to see his sons graduate from high school. You fought a valiant fight, Renzo; in loving memory, we will carry your dream to fruition.
He loved fishing with his sons and a host of friends at Strawberry Reservoir or any body of water.
Survived by his sons, Jonathan and Matthew Byrne, Bountiful, UT. His father, Laurence "LT" Byrne (Bernice DeMello), RI; brothers Kevin "KB", Brendan (Jane), Gerald (Joan) Byrne, all of NY; sisters Jacqueline (Rob) Robertson, FL; Teresa (Rodger) Nye, WY; Maureen Woolever, NY; ten nieces and nephews, and Lisa his former wife, and her husband, Shawn Adamson with whom he shared a wonderful relationship. Preceded in death by his beloved mother, Joan "Dearest" Byrne, brother Patrick Byrne, grandparents, Timothy and Ann Power; Thomas and Dorothy Byrne; his aunt Sister Mary Gregory Paul, S.M.
A memorial to honor Terence''s life will be held at Lindquist''s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N 400 E. August 28, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. We welcome all who loved Terence to join us in celebration of the life he lived so well. Terence, we will hold you gently in our hearts until we meet again.
