Teri Hull
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Teri Hull on January 21, 2016. She fought a courageous battle with a swift and aggressive form of brain cancer; being diagnosed just 2 months ago. She was always full of life. As a child catching tad poles and frogs down by the creek and sneaking food for the homeless by the train tracks. As an older sister, she saved up and bought her little brother his first horse. As a mom, she would roller skate to the grocery store, play hop scotch in the drive way, and volunteer at our elementary school. Always telling us she loved us and would hug and kiss us all the time. As a grandma, spoiling her grandchildren with toys, adventures, and lots of love. As a friend, she was always willing to help with anything and loved to laugh.
Born April 16, 1950 in Walnut Creek, CA she grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area near the ocean. For as long as we can remember she has collected seashells and anything Native American. She was definitely an outspoken, fun loving, loud laughing person. Always wearing bright colors, two different socks, and she never passed up anything green. If you knew her, you knew her obsession with rainbows, watches, umbrellas, and shiny objects she could hang in her car.
She loved her dogs, Little and Kenyon like they were her children. We called them her "favorite daughters" because of how well she took care of them and spoiled them.
Throughout her life, she has always been a very spiritual person. Believing in the afterlife and connections we have as souls on earth and in Heaven. She is missed every second of every day. Although we wish she was here on earth to be with us, it's comforting to know she is any age she wants to be and free of pain. We will look for signs of her in everything we do; we know she will be there in one way or another.
As per her wishes, her remains will be scattered into the ocean this summer at her favorite location, Glass Beach in Fort Bragg, California.
She was an amazing Mom, Grandma, Sister, daughter, and friend. We love you and miss you so much it's unfathomable. We will keep you in our heart and thoughts until we are together again.
Celebration of her life will be held Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the mortuary.
