Teri Tanner Lowry
SYRACUSE – Teri Tanner Lowry, 62, passed away May 14, 2017 at her home.
She was born February 5, 1955 the daughter of Hershel and Sadie Louise Fairclough Tanner in Medicine Hat, Alberta Canada. Teri has lived most of her life in Utah and graduated from Granite High School.
Teri married John Gardner Lowry on May 1, 1976 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He preceded her in death November 13, 2004.
She was an active member of the LDS Church and served in many callings, her favorite calling was Activities Coordinator. Between her and John, they could throw a righteous party.
Teri worked at Community Nursing Service for eight years as a medical biller. She owned and operated T. J.’s Pets and Gotcha Paintball Palace with her husband.
Teri enjoyed knitting, sewing and won awards for her work. She was a super fan of her children and grandchildren and their sports. She even did the stats for John’s softball teams.
Surviving are her sons, Travis G. Lowry, Grantsville, UT; Tyler J. Lowry, Clinton, UT; daughter, Erma L. Ashton, Syracuse, UT; six grandchildren, mother, Sadie F. Tanner, Syracuse, UT; and brother, Allen H. Tanner, Millcreek, UT.
Preceded in death by her husband and father.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Syracuse 3rd Ward, 1000 W. 2679 So., Syracuse. Friends may visit family Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
