Terry Leroy Bonnett
Terry Leroy Bonnett, passed away on September 9, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 21, 1944 in Birmingham, Iowa to Lester and Lillie Bonnett.
He graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 1963. After graduation, he served in the Army and is a Vietnam Veteran.
His passion was working on and restoring his antique truck, which he entered in numerous car shows. His other hobbies were woodworking, leatherwork, painting, and playing his guitar. He loved to travel, ride his motorcycle, and spend time with family on outings and events. He was very much loved by his many nieces and nephews who knew him as their favorite Uncle Butch.
After his service in the Army, he went to work at Hill Field Communications where he retired.
He is survived by his sisters, Helen Elmer of West Weber, Mary Elmer of Ogden, Jean (Ron) Dudash of Hooper, and one brother Charles (Violet) Bonnett of Highlands, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Heritage Park in "A" Hall for his excellent care. They would also like to thank Bristol Hospice Care while at the George E Wahlen Ogden Veterans Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the George E Wahlen Ogden Veterans Home in his memory.
