Terry Hall

January 5, 1967 — August 16, 2021

Terry Lennis Hall

Terry Lennis Hall was born January 5, 1967 to Lennis L Hall and LuCinda (Cindy) Smith, in Beaver, Utah, and the oldest of three children.

Terry lived with his parents in Layton, Utah for the first few months of his life, but they moved to Parowan, Utah in April 1967 when his father got out of the service and returned to work for his father there.  When Terry’s grandfather sold his business in 1969 they moved to Cedar City, Utah, where his father was attending college. In 1970 his father became employed by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and they moved to Tigard, Oregon, where they lived until 1986.  He attended McKay Elementary, Whitford Junior High, and graduated from Beaverton High School.

He moved to San Ramon, California with his family in 1986 where he lived for a short period before moving back to Oregon where he wanted to live the rest of his life.  He worked for Speed’s Towing Service for many years both as a driver and a manager.  Later he became a limousine driver for Pacific Town Car.

He married Danielle Swinford in 1987.  They were later divorced.  He married Tina Louise Baker in 1994 and they later divorced.  He married Rachel Hall July 10, 1999.  Together they had four girls, Maria, Emiliana, Sophia, and Sasha and he adopted Alexander, Rachel’s son. However, they were later divorced in 2019.   He met Lisa Fisher and they were planning to marry this fall.

He was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer in October 2018.  By the time it was discovered it had already spread to his hip and pelvis.  Because of the cancer he was unable to sit or stand for long periods and so was determined to be disabled and could no longer work.  His thyroid glands were removed, however, the pelvis tumor was inoperable.  He received radiation treatments periodically to reduce and destroy the tumor and was doing well when instead of shrinking it suddenly began growing again and spread to other parts of his body in a very short period of time.

He is survived by his father, Lennis; his brother James (Marni), his sister Kimberly McClain (Bobby), his girlfriend Lisa Fisher, his four daughters, Maria, Emiliana, Sophia, Sasha, a step son Alexander (Kamry), and grandson Logan. He was preceded in death by his mother LuCinda.

He loved the Star Wars movie series.  He loved to go see each one of them the first day they were shown.  He loved cars and collected numerous match box and other models.  He loved to cook and bragged that he made the best spaghetti in the world.  His kids and family loved it. He had a secret formula that he wouldn’t share with anyone.

He loved his kids and his most precious memories were and his most precious memories were the numerous times he spent with them camping at the beach and traveling places in his motor home with them.  His last few moments on earth were spent trying to make sure each one of them knew how much he loved and cherished them.  He loved his parents and grandparents and called with them every day.  He wished he live closer to them so he could see them more frequently, but he loved Oregon and would never leave.

His character, smile, caring and love for everyone has and will influence many in the future.  He has provided many good memories for all who knew him.  He always had a smile and loved to put a smile on people’s faces.  He loved animals and always had a dog or cat by his side. They loved him too because of the love he gave to them.

Thanks to everyone for your thoughts, prayers and good deeds over the last few years and especially this past few weeks.  Also, thanks to the many doctors and nurses who have treated him over the last several weeks.  May God Bless each of you.
