Terry Ray McCafferty

Terry Ray McCafferty passed away Saturday, October 17, 2009 at the age of 54 doing what he loved most, spending time with his sons in Manila, UT.

Terry was born April 17, 1955 in Salt Lake City, UT to David R. and Jerrie McCafferty. He grew up in Clearfield, UT and graduated from Clearfield High School in 1973.

Terry married Marla Box, June 30, 1977 in Ogden, UT. From this beautiful marriage they had three wonderful children, Alana (Corey) Cardwell of Clinton; Aaron of Clearfield; and Austin (Marla) McCafferty of Roy. He cherished his three grandchildren, Shyann, Wyatt and Shayne.

Terry was currently employed at Staker Parsons where he had been for the past several years. Terry was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed by many.

Terry was active in motorcycle rides for the MDA and Juvenile Diabetes where he was very fortunate in his adventures. Terry loved riding Harley Davidson''s and was an avid hunter, he was also a member of MDF (Mule Deer Foundation).

He is survived by his wife, three children, three grandchildren, sister Mitzi (Paul) Larsen of West Point, UT; his brother Arnold (Nancy) McCafferty of Overton, NV; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Friends and family may call Wednesday, October 21, 2009, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.

In lieu of flowers family suggests donations be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in Terry''s name.
