Theda M. Lessi
Theda M. Lessi passed away at Country Pines Assisted Living in Clinton, Utah on Friday, October 29, 2010 due to incidents of age. Theda was born October 27, 1916 in Ott, Arkansas. Her parents were Elmer and Dixie Wood. She had one son, William M. Ray. Theda married Clem Lessi in Las Vegas, NV December 31, 1948.
Theda lived near San Luis Obispo, California most of her life. Theda moved to Utah July 1989, to be near her son and his family, residing in Westwood Village Mobile Home Community until moving to Country Pines Assisted Living. In California, she worked as business administrator for the French Hospital and Medical Facilities in San Luis Obispo after which she worked with her husband Clem in his insurance business. After her divorce, she opened a clothing and boutique store in Santa Maria, CA. Later, Theda moved to Cambria, CA and opened a clown shop which she thoroughly enjoyed for several years until moving to Utah.
She is survived by her son and his wife, three grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Informal memorial services will be held Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
Theda''s family would like to thank Sherie Carter and her staff at Country Pines Assisted Living for the care, support, and love shown to Theda while she resided there. We have never experienced a facility where the entire staff was so considerate and friendly. Special thanks goes to Brett Tassone (RN) and Debbie Gough (Aide) from Hospice for Utah for the care they gave Theda during these past few months and keeping the family informed on a regular basis of her condition.
