Thelma Fae Berrett
OGDEN a" Thelma Fae Geddess Berrett, 81, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away at McKay-Dee Hospital due to complications of pneumonia and additional health issues.
She was born October 20, 1928 to Frank Horatio and Agnes Sarah McBride Geddes in Proctor, Colorado.
Thelma married Charles Kenneth Berrett on February 19, 1947 in Ogden, Utah.
She was a member of the LDS Church. Their marriage was later sealed in the Ogden LDS Temple. He preceded her in death December 29, 1994.
She worked several jobs, her last was at Shaver Mart where she developed many sincere friendships, one being with Oliver Miller with whom they shared a great friendship for the past 13 years.
She is survived by her children, Sherry (Dennis) Howland, Ronald (Nancy) Berrett, Randy (Lisa) Berrett, Connie (Greg) Christensen, Debra Berrett and Frank (Michelle) Berrett, 15 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren, her brothers Delbert (Toni) Geddes and John (Joyce) Geddes and sister Maxine Gardner of Littleton, Colorado.
Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, step-father, Thomas Stuart, grandparents, husband, two sisters, Nancy Thurgood and Betty Nester, brother, William Geddes and great-grandson, Dustin Hipwell.
Graveside services will be held Friday, November 13, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
