Thelma Godderidge Conley

Our loving wife, mother and sister, Thelma Godderidge Conley, 88, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at McKay-Dee Hospital.

She was born July 3, 1926 in Smithfield, Utah, a daughter of William and Alice Effie Gamet Godderidge.

On August 1, 1950, Thelma married George Peter Conley in Elko, Nevada. George served in the US Air Force and they lived in various locations, Louisiana, Alaska, Missouri and Utah. They have been happily married and devoted to each other for 64 years.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served as Primary President in Missouri and various other callings in Utah.

Thelma enjoyed cooking, knitting, crocheting, reading, ceramics, Genealogy, and being a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, George; one daughter, Karen Diann (Steve) Mangum, Cedar City; one son, David Alan Conley, Harrisville; two brothers, Keith Godderidge and Charles (Marjorie) Godderidge, both of Smithfield; and two sisters, Lee (Hal) Wood, Garland; and Shirley Fabricius, Newton.

Thelma was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Fern Hansen.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 19th at the Roy North Park Ward Chapel, 4250 South 2175 West. The family will meet with friends Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.

Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.
