Thelma Mottishaw Parrish
FRUIT HEIGHTS a" Thelma Mottishaw Parrish, 79, loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away Saturday, June 14, 2008 at Lakeview Hospital in Bountiful, Utah.
Born November 26, 1928 in Woodlands, Doncaster, Yorkshire, England to Herbert and Hilda Jane Hutchinson Mottishaw.
Thelma was schooled in England and received training in office management. She used her skills as she served as the secretary to the British LDS Mission in London.
She immigrated to the U.S. with her family on June 22, 1947 and later proudly became a U.S. citizen.
Thelma married her eternal sweetheart, Don Clyde Parrish, May 22, 1951 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death September 12, 2002.
Thelma was employed at The First National Bank of Layton where she competently served as executive assistant to the Bank President for 32 years.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved her husband and family, enjoyed home projects, antiques, music, gardening and all things beautiful and lovely.
Thelma is survived by her daughter Rebecca (Robert) Arnold, Lompoc, California; son Reid M. Parrish, Fruit Heights, Utah; brother Brian (Pam) Mottishaw, Spanish Fork, Utah; seven grandchildren: Nathan, Jonathan, Nicholas, and Miranda-Jayne Arnold and Anndrea, Ryan and Kaelen Parrish. Also, seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 19, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Fruit Heights LDS Stake Center, 170 North Mountain Road, Fruit Heights, Utah. Bishop Rick Willis will officiate. Friends and family may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
Interment, Lakeview Cemetery Memorial Estates, 1640 East Lakeview Drive, Bountiful, Utah.
Heartfelt appreciation is extended to family neighbors, friends and medical personnel at Lakeview Hospital.
