Thelma H. Wayment
PLAIN CITY – Thelma Hodson Wayment, 89, returned to be with her husband Willard as a special Christmas present to him, on Thursday, December 25, 2008. She died of causes incident to age while surrounded by her family.
She was born November 1, 1919 in Plain City, a daughter of John A. and Florence Weatherston Hodson.
On October 10, 1938, Thelma married Willard B. Wayment in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Willard preceded Thelma in death on August 20, 1986.
She lived in Warren for six years and in Plain City for the next 83 years where she was raised and educated.
Thelma was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving for many years as a teacher and secretary in the Primary. She also served as the Ward Librarian.
Thelma enjoyed bowling, golfing, and most of all, spending time with her immediate and extended family members.
The family expresses special thanks to Access Hospice for their loving care, especially Dawn.
Surviving are her daughter, Linda Christensen, Plain City; one granddaughter, Tammy Fraga and one great-grandchild, Keaton Fraga.
Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Carl Hodson and one sister, Doris Chugg.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 North Washington Blvd., with Bishop Phillip Meyer officiating.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment, Plain City Cemetery.
