Theodore "Ted" Jabbs

July 25, 1931 ~ November 20, 2017

Theodore "Ted" Jabbs, 86, passed away peacefully, Monday morning, November 20, 2017 and was reunited with his beloved wife, Marilyn. He was born to Henry and Mary Edna Coombs Jabbs on July 25, 1931, in Logan, Utah the third of five children, twins; Blaine and Shirley, Janice and Dixie.

Ted was raised in Ogden, graduated from Ogden High School, and attended Weber State College. He met Marilyn Ilene Kendall at a church dance; it was love at first sight. They were married on November 16, 1961, in the Logan UT LDS Temple. They made their home in Plain City, UT, where they raised three daughters. He was also blessed with four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Ted was an active and devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, frequently serving others and held various callings in the ward.  His favorite was singing in the ward choir. Ted worked many years for the Weber School District making friends with faculty and students alike. He was well known and well-liked by many. He later worked for Sears and Roebuck making many friends there as well. Family was everything to him and he cherished family get-togethers, looking forward to birthdays and holidays.  He loved to fish, taking his daughters and then his grandchildren often. Researching family genealogy was important to him and he spent many hours doing this.  Ted always had a smile on his lips and a song in his heart.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Season's Assisted Living and Hearts for Hospice for their kindness in making our father's last days comfortable. The family is also grateful to all the friends and neighbors who have helped and continue to support our family during these trying times. Your service can not be measured in words, but our hearts are forever grateful to you for your loving kindness.

Ted is survived by his daughters, Taya Jo (Paul) McGeorge, Brenda Sue (Ted) Jabbs, and Cinthea (Darren) Beebe; grandchildren, Jeffrey Scott (Cheri) Judkins, Logan Wolf Sparkman, and Paige Elizabeth Sparkman; great-grandchildren, Riley Lynn Judkins and Carson Matthew Judkins; sisters, Janice and Dixie and many beloved nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his wife; Marilyn, parents, a brother and sister and his grandson, Matthew Richard Judkins.
