Theodore (Ted) John Laser
KAYSVILLE a" Theodore (Ted) John Laser, 88, passed away Monday, January 24, 2011.
He was born October 29, 1922 in Chicago, Illinois the son of Arthur and Jessie Josephine Kramer Laser. Ted was raised in Winnetka, IL; and moved to Montpelier, ID; after his service in the U.S. Navy. He then resided in Logan and Farmington, since 1951 to the present in Kaysville.
Ted served in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1945 in World War II.
Ted married Maxine Burgoyne on June 30, 1945 in Los Angeles, California in the Forest Lawn Little Church of the Flowers. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple on March 20, 1947.
Ted taught auto shop at Davis High School from 1949 to 1984. He loved his cabin in the North Woods of Wisconsin. He did not like to fly, loved to take the train to get there and loved to drive and take the back roads as well. Ted loved his family and provided them with many various experiences. He enjoyed fishing and snowmobiling. He was a member of the LDS Church, serving as High Priest and in many other capacities including working with youth and ward clerk.
Surviving are his wife Maxine of 65 years, four sons, Theodore John Jr., Bruce B., Curtis and Neal, two daughters, Wendy, Carol, 17 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Kaysville Rock Chapel, 200 E. Center Street. Friends may visit family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main and Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
