Theodore W. Morris "Rejoicing Together"
BRIGHAM CITY - Theodore W. Morris, 88, passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2013, peacefully surrounded by loving family members. Ted was born on February 18, 1925, in Los Angeles, California the son of Dr. George Edward and Doris Floyd Morris.
At the age of 18 he joined the Navy and proudly served his country aboard the USS Saint Louis "Lucky Lou". He was in eight campaigns in the South Pacific during WWII. After the war he returned home and married his sweetheart, Eileta Christ on May 18, 1946.
Ted and Eileta moved to Utah from Lincoln, Nebraska in 1951. He worked at the Defense Depot Ogden until he retired in 1980. After retirement Ted and Eileta served as Christian Counselors for Youth with a Mission in Hawaii. Ted loved Jesus with all his heart and exemplified God''s love to all who knew him.
Ted is survived by his sons, David (Barbara) Morris and Dan (Peggy) Morris; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eileta; grandson, Quin Morris; parents, and sister.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to all of those who cared for our father at Willow Glen Care and Curo Hospice, especially Cleo and Brittney.
