Thomas James Bashford

August 23, 1959 — February 15, 2025

Thomas James Bashford, lovingly known as “Tom” or “Bash,” peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on August 23, 1959, to James John Bashford and Carole Jean Bingham.

Tom had a profound love for golf, holding an incredible 19 hole-in-ones throughout his life. An exceptional athlete, he excelled at everything he tried—basketball, skiing (both water and snow), drawing, juggling—you name it, he could do it. He also had a deep passion for big game hunting, fishing, and, most of all, spending time with his family. Always willing to lend a hand, Tom was known for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering support for those around him.

A gifted entrepreneur, Tom owned and operated several businesses throughout his life. His work ethic, determination, and ability to connect with people made him a respected figure in both business and the community.

Tom married Tina Marie Kirch and together they had four beautiful daughters and later divorced. Above all, Tom was a devoted father and grandfather. His love for his daughters, Brianne Marie Bashford, Nicole Carole (Bo) Smith, Carissa Conra Bashford and Tomi Alexis Bashford, was immeasurable. He took great pride in their accomplishments and was always there to support and encourage them. As a grandfather, he cherished every moment with his five beautiful granddaughters, Cameron Nicole, Kinley Marie, Kira Lynn, Kate Alexis, and London Rae, showering them with love and laughter.

Tom is survived by his loving children and grandchildren; his fiancé, Kimi Sue Puls; his mother, Carole Jean Keil; his siblings, Kent (Linda) Bashford, Sharon (Mark) Christensen, Karla (Marty) Phipps, and Kelly (Chris) Ward; and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, James John Bashford; his stepfather, Harry Houston Keil; and his brother-in-law, Robert Kyle Allred.

Tom will be missed, but his legacy will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring at The Barn golf course his home away from home. Details to be announced at a later date.

Arrangements entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
