THOMAS ROBERT BURNS "BUD"
Our Dad, Grandpa, Great-grandpa, loving husband and friend was born March 11, 1925 to Ida and Charles Burns, the baby of the family. He left us on June 13, 2012.
He grew up and went to school in Ogden. Bud liked to say he was "a turd, not a nerd." He worked for and retired from the Union Pacific Railroad as a conductor, where we think he got the nickname "Bud", but we can''t be sure. All we know is he was everyone''s friend. He never met a stranger and once you knew him you were his friend for life. Bud met the love of his life, Verna Williams and they were married July 23, 1966 in Evanston, Wyoming. They were married for time and all eternity on November 13, 1982. We do know that the reunion on the other side became joyous about 15 minutes after Bud got there. Verna had to give him the "what for" before she could welcome him with open arms.
Bud is survived by his son Bart, daughter Michelle, 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, brother Charles Burns.
Monday, June 18, there will be a celebration of his life and kindness at Lindquist''s Bountiful Mortuary 727 N. 400 E.
