Thomas William Hayes, 68, passed away surrounded by his family on Friday, June 22, 2018.

He was born March 5, 1950 in Ogden, Utah to James Earl and Lydia Rose Voegele Hayes.

He was married to Jane Albers; later divorced. On June 1, 1998, Tom married Robyn Storey-Anderson in Elko, Nevada.

He is survived by five children, Crystal Jones, Aurora, CO; Ryan, Olympia, WA; Joshua, Canon City, CO; Trenton, Ogden; Myranda Chavez, Las Vegas, NV; step-children, Jamie Boone, Roy; Ty Ross, West Point; ten grandchildren; and one sister, Kathryn Watkins, Fleming Island, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Jim and Bobby. He lived his whole life mainly in Ogden, residing briefly in Tri Cities, WA and Ferron, UT.

He was an ironworker for most of his adulthood, retiring in 2008. His hobbies included sports, antique-collecting, traveling and having a good time. He was an excellent gardener and kept a beautiful yard. He was a friend and father figure to everyone he met. He was a very good man and will be greatly missed.

Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at the Ogden City Cemetery.

Arrangements entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
