Thomas Michael Holt was born on August 15, 1941, in Burley, Idaho. He passed away on December 26, 2012, one day after spending a beautiful Christmas evening with his wife, children and grandchildren.

He graduated from Burley High School on May 20, 1959. In October of 1961, Thomas was called to the Northern States Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served for two years. Tom was especially fond of the saxophone and played the baritone in high school, college and for the Elks Lodge. Tom continued to play the saxophone throughout his life and was the main inspiration for three of his grandchildren to follow suit.

Tom served honorably in the United States Army. He was awarded The Commendation Medal by the Secretary of the Army, for his service in the Republic of Vietnam during the period of August 1967 to August 1968.

On September 30, 1969, Tom married his eternal partner, Mary Daisy Anaya, in the Logan Temple. He loved her immensely and cared and nurtured her, until his last breath.
