Thomas D Openshaw

LAYTON a€" Thomas D. Openshaw, 69, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2012.

Tom was born October 11, 1942, in Ogden, Utah the son of Rhuel and Darlene Openshaw.

Tom attended Ben Lomond High School and went to work at Hill Air Force Base after he graduated. During his career at Hill Field, he specialized in computer programming and retired with over 30 outstanding years of Civil Service.

Tom enjoyed watching sports and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed the outdoors, boating, camping, and fishing. Tom loved his children very much and he was very proud of them.

Tom is survived by his children, Shane (Suzanne) Openshaw, Sean Openshaw, and Jackie (Todd) Hill; brothers Doug Openshaw, Jim (Bonnie) Openshaw, and sister Debbie (Rodney) Egan. Tom had four wonderful grandchildren, Nick Openshaw, Lexi Openshaw, Gage Hill, and Jaxon Hill.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family on Tuesday from 9:15 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
