Thomas Craig Patterson

Early Sunday morning in his home with his adoring wife by his side, Thomas Craig Patterson passed away after a very long and courageous battle with Carciniod Cancer.

Tom was born to Donald and Jane Patterson; they had three children of which Tom was the youngest. They moved to Clearfield in 1965. Tom graduated from Clearfield High School in 1971 and Weber State College in 1976 where he earned his degree in business.

Tom met the love of his life, Michelle, when her family moved in next door. Tom and Michelle were wed in September of 1979. One year later their first son Zackary was born, 21 months after that, another son Brody arrived.

In 1977 Tom and Michelle opened Tom''s Auto Parts and successfully ran it for 27 years playing a significant role in the local automotive community. Tom had a passion for life, he dearly loved his family, his many friends and flying. Tom was loved by all who knew him and in one way or another impacted the lives of everyone he met.

Tom is survived by his wife Michelle, their sons, Zackary and Brody, Zackary''s wife Summer and grandchildren Brayden and Berlyn, sisters, Valerie (Zooie), Vicki and her husband Dan, many extended family members who all loved him dearly and will sincerely miss him.

A celebration of Tom''s life will be held Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 4 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family one hour prior to services.

We would like to thank Utah Cancer Specialists, IHC Cancer Research Center, Huntsman Cancer Research Institute, Cancer Treatment Centers of America (Phoenix), Summit Hospice and the army of Doctor''s and Nurse''s that assisted him in his fight. Due to that joint effort, Tom was granted many additional and joyous years.
