It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Thomas (Tom) James Potter. He was born on November 5, 1956, in Vietnam, left this world on September 11, 2023, in the embrace of his loving family.

Thomas, known to friends and family as "Tom," embarked on a remarkable journey that took him from his birthplace in Vietnam to the United States when he was 16. His life was characterized by  unwavering determination and an unyielding commitment to his family. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Tom's influence will forever resonate in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.

Tom was one of the most honest, straight forward, hardworking, devoted, and passionate people you will ever meet. Tom was a great Machinist/Toolmaker and a great teacher always willing to pass on his knowledge. He owned his own Machine shop and spent endless hours working to provide a better life for his loved ones, demonstrating that hard work and dedication could lead to success and fulfillment.

Tom had a deep and abiding passion for the outdoors, with a particular love for fishing, especially with his family. The tranquility of casting a line into the water and the thrill of watching his kids reel a fish in brought him immeasurable happiness.
