Thomas Holbrook Roberts, age 80, our loving husband and father peacefully passed away on Friday, March 29, 2024, at his home in Syracuse; surrounded by his dear family, following a battle with Liver Cancer.
He was the son of Byron Dixon and Marise Holbrook Roberts in Ogden, Utah.
Tom attended Ogden City Schools and was Student Body President at Central Jr High. He graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 1962, where he excelled as a runner.
Tom faithfully served in the Northeast British Mission. He earned his bachelor’s degree in elementary education at Weber State College, did graduate work at Utah State, and taught elementary Special Ed for thirty-four years for the Ogden City School District.
In 1966 Tom married his sweetheart, Sally Ann Stanger in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were married for nearly 58 years.
Tom enjoyed reading, science fiction and liked to tell stories of his childhood.
Together, Tom and Sally owned and operated Roberts Photography, in Riverdale, for over 40 years. He had a gift and passion for photography and a rare artistic ability to put people at ease when he created their portrait. They preserved a legacy of memories, special events, and milestones for thousands of families.
Tom was a kind and loving father. He was a special man that taught by example to be loving, dedicated, caring, to work hard, and to always do our best. He always believed in us and supported us through tough times. We love him and will miss the caring and happiness he brought to our lives.
Tom is survived by his wife, Sally; his siblings Cathy Baugh and Carl (Dodie) Roberts; and five children: Mike (Tracy) Roberts, Shelley (Dwight) Williams, Tyler Roberts, Trisha (Jeromy) Stokes, and Bryan Roberts. His grandchildren are McKenna, Brayden, Ambri, and Brylee Roberts; Colby Williams; Khadija and Laila Roberts; Shae and Brody Stokes
