Thomas Ure
1954-2010
Thomas Ure, 55, passed away Monday, March 1, 2010 in Bountiful, Utah of a massive heart attack.
He was born April 30, 1954 in Salt Lake City, Utah the son of Willis L. and Wilhelmina Roestenburg Ure. He was reared and educated in Bountiful, graduating from Viewmont High School in 1972 with honors. He married Judith Bullock November 11, 1976 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Tom retired as the executive vice president of BMA Management Support Corp. in December 2009. He was an active member The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in the Argentina, Buenos Aires South Mission, and was currently a High Priest in the North Canyon 3rd Ward. He was very artistic and enjoyed writing and singing his own music. He was a member of the “Shoe Shine Boys” with his brother.
He is survived by his wife Judy; his two sons Thomas Jr. (Karla), Daniel, daughter Jennifer Thoroman (Travis); grandchildren Taegen and Camden; his father Willis, mother-in-law Lorraine Bullock; sister Cindy Sorenson (Doug) and sister-in-law Sue. Preceded in death by his mother, brother Bernie and son Justin.
Funeral services will be held 11 am Saturday, March 6, 2010 at the North Canyon 3rd Ward Chapel, 2505 S. Davis Blvd., Bountiful. Friends and family may call Friday from 6-8 pm at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. and Sat. at the church from 9:30 – 10:30 am prior to services. Interment Bountiful City Cemetery.
