Thomas Yeaman Williams

April 22, 1936 — February 10, 2024

Thomas Yeaman Williams, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin, brother and friend, passed away peacefully in the early hours of the morning on Saturday, February 10th 2024.

Son of Martha Yeaman and Franklin Leslie Williams, Jr., Tom was born on April 22nd, 1936, in Afton, Wyoming. He was the oldest of two children. He grew up in various locations across Utah before the family settled down in Roy, Utah, where Tom graduated from Weber High School.

Desiring, as he would always say, “three hots and a flop”, Tom joined the U.S. Navy and went on to serve for 36 years on multiple ships and in various locations throughout his career.

He served most notably on the USS Point Cruz, USS Leader, USS Constellation and USS Kitty Hawk.

While serving, he met Angie Webster at a party at the Hi Hat Lounge in Sunset, UT. After a whirlwind courtship, they were married in Kaysville, Utah on December 28, 1956.

His service would take him and his family all across the country, including the following locations: Washington D.C., Pensacola, FL, Silverdale, WA and San Diego, CA.

During the 54 years of marriage together Tom and Angie welcomed three children, daughters, Dennisie and Kammie and son Devin. Tom and his beloved wife were later sealed to their children on September 20, 1980, for time and all eternity in the LDS Los Angeles Temple.

Tom loved his sports, he was very heavily involved in little league baseball, as a manager, coach, and board member. He also officiated numerous sports in California and Utah for many years.

As a member of the LDS Church, Tom served in many capacities, including the Elders Quorum presidency, the scouting and youth programs. He was a Bishop in the San Diego 11th Ward, Branch President of a Laotian branch and Member of the Stake High Council in Silverdale, WA. In his later years when he and his wife relocated to Utah, they served in the LDS Bountiful Temple together for 16 years.

Once in Utah, recently retired from his navy service, Tom worked as a real estate agent at Brough Realty, served on numerous Veteran Associations affiliated with the ships he previously served on and spent his time at weekly lunches with his nephews and friends. He also loved family dinners and attended all kinds of sporting events, performances, band and choir concerts with his grandkids.

Within the last year of Tom’s life, he endured his fair share of challenges. After enduring a fall in his home in Fruit Heights, he became a resident of both Whisper Cove and Sunridge Assisted Living facilities. The family wishes to express their immense love and gratitude to his Visiting Angel, Angela Sharp, and the entire staff at Whisper Cove and Sunridge Assisted Living Centers, thank you for loving our Tom.

Tom is preceded in death by his father, F. Leslie, mother, Martha, sister, Jeri, and beloved wife, Angie.

He is survived by his loving family members; Dennisie Williams, Kammie (Troy) Allen and Devin (Stacy) Williams; and his grandchildren; Chandler (Kiana), Abbey, Mason, Blakely, Hannah, Emma, Jordan and Sammy.
