Thora Adams Nicholls

SOUTH OGDEN a€" Thora Adams Nicholls, 82, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, September 9, 2012 in Ogden.

Thora was born on March 5, 1930 in Parawan, Utah to Orlando Whitney and Lacy Jane Murdock Adams. She had seven brothers and two sisters. She graduated from Weber High School.

She married Delmor Nicholls on July 30, 1949 in Ogden. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple. They spent 55 wonderful years together before Delmor passed away on March 20, 2005.

Thora was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a member of South Ogden Adams Ward where she served in the Primary and Relief Society.

She worked at Delmed for many years.

Thora loved quilting and made many beautiful quilts for her family. She enjoyed reading, watching westerns and the Utah Jazz. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Thora is survived by her children, Susan and Craig Hepner, Clinton; Robert Nicholls, Tooele; Ron and Pam Nicholls, Washington Terrace; Perry and Barbara Nicholls, South Ogden; Gary Nicholls, Washington Terrace; Maryann and John Garner, Henderson, Nevada; Johnny and Marci Nicholls, Rexburg, Idaho and John Osterburg; 27 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren with 1 on the way.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Delmor Nicholls; granddaughter, Mindi Brooke Nicholls; parents and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 14, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.
