Tillie G. Romero passed away peacefully in her home in Sunset, Utah on Saturday, 17 August 2024. Being 94 years old, she embraced life with grace and warmth, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her.
Tillie dedicated her life to her family, raising her children with love and instilling in them the values of kindness and perseverance. She kept an immaculate yard and garden where she enjoyed preparing and sharing the harvest.
She is survived by her sister, Ufelia Montoya and children, George (Christy) Romero, Delfin Romero Jr., Kattie (Marcos) Martinez and Randy (Joanne) Romero. Her legacy continues through her 11 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, who carry forward the lessons she imparted and the love she shared.
Tillie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Delfin Romero Sr., her brothers, Gavino Garcia, Joe Garcia, Max Garcia, Felix Garcia, Froylan Garcia, her sisters, Eduvigen, Patricia Garcia, her daughter, Debbie Villalobos, her granddaughter Wendy Heiner and grandson, Armando Romero. The bond they shared remains a testament to her character and the love she fostered throughout her life.
Tillie will be remembered not only for her role as a devoted mother and grandmother but also for the warmth and care she extended to everyone in her life. Her memory will remain alive in the hearts of her family and friends as they celebrate a life well-lived.
The family would like to acknowledge the enormous amount of compassion and care shown by Rachel, Kasey and Lina at Inspiration Home Health and Hospice.
A viewing and rosary will be held on Sunday, August 25, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 W 5600 S, Roy, UT 84067.
A mass will be held on Monday, August 26, 2024, 10:00 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 210 Chapel St. Layton, UT 84041, followed by an interment at West Point City Cemetery, 80 N 4000 W, West Point, UT 84015.
A celebration of life will be held at St. Rose of Lima Social Center following the interment at West Point City Cemetery. Food and refreshments will be provided.
