Timothy James Donahoe

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to everyone he ever met, Timothy James Donahoe, 73, passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022. He was born in Ogden, Utah, on September 14, 1948, the son of James Patrick and Jeanne Elizabeth Jordan Donahoe. Tim was a graduate of Bonneville High School and Weber State University. He was a Marine and served in Vietnam in 1969 and 1970, receiving a Purple Heart Medal and the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with a V for Valor.

He worked as a metallurgist at Westinghouse for 30 years. He was a youth football, baseball and softball coach for over 30 years and made a lasting impact on many young lives.

Tim is survived by his children, Dusty Donahoe of Collyville, TX; Jordan W. Donohoe of Ogden, UT; Shay Donahoe Thornton of Bentonville, AR; 11 grandchildren, Maddox Thornton, Laura Rael, Sarah Rael, Colby Thornton, Ella Donahoe, Cayson Donahoe, Norah Donahoe, Harland Donahoe, Olivia Thornton, Chloe Thornton, and Dakota Donahoe; and brothers, David Donahoe and Dennis Donahoe; and sister, Barbara Larsen. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Jill Kingsford.

Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 14, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1100 East 5550 South, South Ogden. Friends may visit with family on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. with a wake at 7 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd. If you are so inclined, please bring a note to the wake or funeral to share a personal memory or how you knew Tim.
