Timothy Allan Sorensen

PRESTON, IDAHO - Timothy Allan Sorensen, 51, passed away September 22, 2018 at First Dam Park in Logan, Utah.

He was born October 8, 1966 in San Diego, California the son of Val Dean G. and Laurie Jesperson Sorensen.  Tim lived in El Cajon, CA; Ogden, UT; Wellsville, UT; and Preston, ID.

Tim served in the U.S. Army during that time he was temporarily stationed in Wildflecken, Germany and was honorably discharged November 14, 1986.

Tim married Karina Lyman on January 6, 1996 in Susanville, CA.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Tim has loved nature and the outdoors since the beginning.  He was an avid fisherman, dedicated hunter, sunset seeker and often said he felt most at home in the mountains.  Beginning with match box cares Tim has been an adrenaline junkie for anything with an engine.  He loved all things fast, whether it was a remote controlled car or airplane, a dirt bike, a boat, four wheelers, snowmobiles or his latest passion motorcycles.  Best of all he shared these and many other hobbies and moments with all of his six kids.

Surviving are his wife, Karina Lyman Sorensen, children, Ashley (Aaron) Jones, Taylor Sorensen, Alexis “Lexi” (Davis) Johnson, Jacob Sorensen, Cambree Sorensen, Adley Sorensen, his parents, the mother of his daughter Ashley, Nancy Thorsen Durrant, siblings, Karen (Bob) Woodbury, Susie Bruce) Venable, and Larry (Nancy) Sorensen.

Preceded in death by his grandparents.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 28, 2018 at 12 noon at the Wellsville 5th Ward, 660 S. 100 W., Wellsville.   Friends may visit family Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Friday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the church.

Interment, Wellsville Cemetery, 400 No. 200 E., Wellsville, Utah.
